Open hearts, open air and sisterhood. What a special 3 days to spend with my sister-in-law Karen, taking me back to my roots if my youth on the farm. The special staff have made us feel welcome and at home in our little tent. The beautiful view we have from our tent looks across the when field to the mountains. The birds greet us with song in the morning. What a wonderful memory to take back to my home and my daily life.

Dearest Meg & Kim, My wife has asked me to write in this journal. With that said, I have not read any of the previous entries. We have truly loved being here. We sent the second day exploring downtown Moscow & fell in love with the town. We spent numerous hours going from store to store just window shopping. Back here on the farm I took a hike to the top of the Mountain & sat at the base of the tower. The view was amazing! Sitting by the campfire the S’mores were excellent! For two days we were able to leave our stressful lives behind. OH! In a final note, there is a restaurant in town “Zips” —delicious onion rings! Thank you so much for an amazing date with my wife! Terry Kling P.S. We will be back!

MaryJane, Every year is a little different. This year I like seeing Holly, LB and Nutmeg. Seeing Tulip and Periwinkle. Feeding Sally O’Malley apples. Meeting Kim (super nice). Watching Kim put on Holly’s bandage. Checking eggs and campfire with Mom.

We came for our cousin Nathaniel’s graduation from WSU. GO COUGS! Wow! We had an amazing stay here. Braeden (7), Kaelan (15), and me, Hannah (12), had fun Friday night and spent Saturday morning playing card games by the fire and exploring for frogs by the pond. The meals were fantastically delicious and we loved your hospitality. Kaelen is still trying to convince everyone to come back next year. I hope so! Thank you for giving me a once in a lifetime experience here!
P.S. The outhouses were WAY better than I expected!!!

Such a sweet time with two of my daughters—a fantasy fulfilled! It was all we had hoped for and more. The breakfasts were amazing; thank you (we love good food). To quote myself, “Beauty inspires hope”—so there is much to inspire hope at MaryJanesFarm. Thank you for every little thing.

Peace and tranquility abound here. We had an awesome relaxing stay. Kim was a great hostess. Meg was so patient with directions when we got off track. Every comfort possible has been thought of—big fluffy towels, organic toiletries, reading lights on the headboard. And, best of all the totally pampering bath outdoors! This has been a lifelong dream fulfilled. Oh—the library was to die for as were the yummy breakfasts. They kept us full all day! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

What a wonderful time we had! Everyone was so friendly and down to earth and made us feel so welcome! My expectations for this stay were so high and I was not disappointed. The tent, the tub, the view, the breakfasts, the local dining, and s’mores—all amazing. Our first night here I took a bath in the rain; I could do that every day for the rest of my life. Thanks so much to everyone who made out stay so perfect!

This trip was relaxing, refreshing and a reminder to take time out. Life is so busy that one must purposely plan retreats. Thanks for the generous gift of sharing you home and garden. The strawberries were the best! The outdoor bathing was also amazing.

June 30-July 2, 2012 | Matt & Heather

I’ve been wanting to come to this farm for years, ever since I read MaryJane’s book “For the Farmgirl in All of Us”—it was exactly what I was hoping for! My husband bought me/us a 2-night stay here for my birthday—best b-day present ever! Wish we could live here! We loved interacting with the cows & chickens and making our own dinner from the garden here. MaryJane has been inspirational for my journey in urban farming—thanks for all you do!
If you are ever up in Kootenai County, come see us at the Kootenai Co. Farmer’s Market on Saturday! Our booth is entitled “The Herban Garden”.
We had an awesome time here at your farm & with the welcoming staff.

Thank MaryJane, Kim, Meg, and the rest of the farm hands. It has been more than I thought it might be. I have truly enjoyed my stay here at the farm. I love the idea of glamping and of course the bathtub and bathing in the open. To bathe under the stars and full moon was an experience I will not soon forget. I hope to come back in the future but for now, I have enjoyed my stay.
Love to you and God bless!

MaryJane,
Thank you so much for opening your farm to me, my friend, and her daughter. I so enjoyed the stay. The people you have working for you are such a great group. Keep them. I am so looking forward to coming back. I thought it was very nice of you to let me have the pick of your buttons to take home and to visit your sewing room. It is to die for!!! You are such a nice person. I have been reading your magazines. After meeting you in person, now I know I should order my own magazines for myself. I can’t wait to get my first one.
Keep up the good work and I hope God keeps blessing you, your family, and the farm.

MaryJane,
Thank you for such a wonderful place and for being such an inspiration. Hearing your story of how hard you worked to get here inspires me to plan for what I want for myself—a little farm with a big garden, apple trees, some chickens, and a cow! Thank you again for sharing your home.

Sally and I were transformed almost immediately from our hurried city pace to the relaxed, tranquil vibe found everywhere on your farm. You have created and bring forth magic in every environ. Wish we could stay longer, but we leave touched, holding and carrying an imprint in our hearts. Breakfast was the best! Outdoor tub was PERFECT. Thank for opening your hearts and home to us.
