Thank you so much for the opportunity to come visit such a magical place—we can see why Mary L. loves it here! Oliver, 7, got to see his first owl in the wild and it made his life! Leo, 2, loved feeding the chickens and cows and petting Jasper.
Many thanks,

MaryJane Butters, I really could never thank you sufficiently, though I will attempt. The aroma of each beautifully and thoughtfully arranged vase after vase of fresh-cut flowers, the magnificent bread, oh, your stunning bread book, so reasonably priced with such applicable instructions. Our favorite Hallmark show under the stars in our own tub with fresh mountain breezes and stars peeking through. The beautiful night gown and apron so very, very kindly priced to accommodate the wallet, set a very dreamy tone, and I mean that in every sense of the word, I dreamed of this, never knowing it existed till this winter!
Thank you for years of industry and contribution to create a slice of heaven for the sore feet of travelers who appreciate the finest beauty … of beautiful earth and beautiful human hand artful touches. To restore and rest and revel and be inspired to sweat, to plan and to dream, to create with consistency, something of their own like unto what they've experienced.
Dear Mary Jane, thank you, thank you, for your hug and a splinter sample of your stories, oh, my curiosity abounds.
Enjoying our fairytale with wonder and marveling, and appreciation after appreciation,
–Riley and Emily Balling

It was the best trip ever with my daughter-in-law and two granddaughters.
I have always wanted to come and stay. Been taking your magazine for years. Reading cover to cover. And granddaughter and their momma when they come to Montana for the summer have read the magazine cover to cover.
Our dream come true
We’ll be back! It was magical!! Thank you so much!

June 17th—Arrival
Since I learned I was coming to stay at your farm the anticipation built. I imagined the walks, the baths, the solitude and reflection.
Driving in the last few miles I knew I was in for the best weekend in a long time.
When we arrived I was overwhelmed with joy and the beauty of your farm. I was where I belonged.
June 18th—Reflection
What gracious hosts. Thank you MaryJane and Mary L. Everything is perfect.
Loved meeting the new baby heifer, a visit with Mary L., and our walk. The flowers buzzing with activity as the bees busy themselves was a delight to see. Morning coffee this morning was so much better with the fresh cream!
Even the rain this morning couldn’t dampen the joy of sitting in a hot water bath with the view … oh the view!
June 19th—Leaving
It is hard to say goodbye to this beautiful place. What an experience. I will not forget the joy and peace I feel here.
No doubt I will be back.
Thank you for opening up your home to all of us.
We will keep these memories for a lifetime.
June 19th—Afterthoughts
I forgot to mention how beautiful the flowers are. They are so lovely in our rooms and smell amazing.
This journal—If I remember correctly you featured this idea in a magazine. I plan to go home and make several. My grandmother gave me a set of books when I was young—“The Ruth Fielding” series. There must be at least 20 of them. Some in better shape than others. They will make beautiful journals. The books were published around 1905 to start. I read many of them as a young girl.
My family—on both my mother’s side and my father’s side—come from farming. While I spent my youth and adulthood in Wyoming, I am a Minnesota farmgirl at heart!
